5×3 widget shows wrong podcast playing

Using the 5×3 widget, when there are only two podcasts left in the queue it flips the two podcasts and shows the up next item as the currently playing item, and vice versa, This is on stock Android 16, Pixel 7,

OK, heres what I see this morning. I have two podcasts in the queue..I am listening to “The Indicator” yet it appears in the second position in the widget with Sci Fri appearing on the now playing slot. On the app itself you can see I am listening to “The Indicator” This error only happens when there are 2 podcasts in the queue. Again, pixel 7 running most recent Android 16

@dalekirstein Can you let me know which version of the app you’re using? We are releasing a fix with version 8.6 that is supposed to handle an issue that sounds very similar to what you’re experiencing. If you’re interested, there’s more information in the following:

Thanks for the follow up. I updated to 8.6 a few days ago, and it appears this bug has been squashed.
