Adding to “Up Next” from older episodes

There are some podcasts that I’ve got hundreds of back episodes to listen to. I am listening to them in Oldest->Newest order. I would love to have the ability to always keep one (the oldest) episode in my queue, so that when I finished listening to episode 3, episode 4 would automatically be added to Up Next.
Is this already possible some how?
Taking this one step further, since I have multiple such podcasts, I would love to kind of intersperse them so it wouldn’t only be pulling from one. So let’s say we have podcast A and B. So it would add A1 and B1 to my queue. After I listened to A1 it would A2 to the end of the queue. But it would need to do so in alternating order so that I wouldn’t be getting A2, A3, A4 – before any B episodes made it to the top.

Hi, @reblazer! That’s a great question. It’s currently not possible to do that exactly. I’ve added your feedback to a feature request we have about playing episodes in chronological order (by release date, or oldest first).
Something that might work for you, but is not totally automated could be this process:
– Go to a podcast’s episode list and sort the episodes by Release Date (Old → New).
– Select all the episodes and add them to the UpNext queue. The episodes should be added in the order of oldest to newest.
– Go to the next podcast and do the same, sort the episodes by release date, then add to UpNext.
– In the UpNext queue, manually move the episodes to the desired order. For example, episode A1 followed by B1, and so on.
This should allow you to play the episodes in the order you want. But, if you have some episodes that are auto-added, they would still appear at the top or bottom of the list. Those won’t be in the in the correct order so you would still need to manually move the around the list. -
