Similar to YouTube Premium Can we implement the use of AI to automatically detect and skip ads in podcasts

Thank you for your suggestion on this. I’ve gone ahead and forwarded this along to our developers as a feature request.
I will note, some podcast creators offer an ad-free version of their show, which you can purchase directly from them. Pocket Casts does offer the ability to subscribe to private feeds and purchasing premium offerings in this way does a lot to help support the production of podcasts that you enjoy the most.

YouTube Premium doesn’t use AI to detect and skip ads though; YouTube inserts ads into the viewing experience of videos that don’t have them to begin with, and YouTube Premium is where you pay YouTube to stop inserting ads into content creator’s videos. On the other hand, if there are ads in a podcast feed, it’s because the podcasters put it there (or licensed advertising through a third party that inserts it into the feed), independent of Pocket Casts at all. And yeah, I’m a big fan of what @mikerockwell says about subscribing to private feeds; I’m so glad Pocket Casts supports this feature. 🏆

Thank you for chiming in on the conversation. You are correct! Pocket Casts does not insert any ads. Any ads heard by listeners are directly added by the podcast authors themselves.
I agree! Subscribing to private feeds is a great feature and it’s nice to have that option in Pocket Casts.
