Akexa/Echo Dot syning with other apps
-
I have the iOS Pocket Casts app installed as well as the MacOS App. I also have the Alexa integration setup for my Echo Dot. I can manage autoplay, automatic download, etc. in the settings on the iOS App. I see nothing similar on the Mac App. Even worse is the Alexa settings. The only Alexa setting seems to be “Link/Not linked”.
How do I define sort order, automatic play-next, etc. on Alexa? I want to be able to seamlessly listen in the car and on the Alexa device. I want it to synchronize the playback position as well as automatically proceeding to the next episode. I need to ask for it to play each episode by name. To play the next I need to open the iOS app to look. This kind of defeats the purpose.
I thought I might be able to add all the episodes of a podcast to “Next” on the Mac App and then Alexa would know the queue. There does not seem to be a way to add all (unarchived) to the queue. Adding each episode one at a time will take forever. The online instructions for managing your queue only seem to work for iOS and Android. There is no “gear icon” on the desktop application (or Alexa).
How can I just listen to all (unarchived) episodes, in chronological order, seamlessly no matter where I am?

Hi there, @galgier52!
Sorry for the delay, we seem to have missed this post
At the moment, our Alexa integration is not able to play automatically through the entire up next.
You will still be able to use the command “Ask Pocket Casts to play my up next”.
More information on the integration can be found here: https://support.pocketcasts.com/article/alexa/
That said, we have a feature request opened to improve the way this integration works. If more users request this, it will increase its changes of being improved.
