Album Artwork not Updating

Hello! I’ve seem similar topics created with the same question/issue, but each situation seems to be solved individually. I am also affected by a situation where some of our school’s Network’s shows have updated their artwork; the update is pushed through Apple, Spotify, etc., but Pocket Casts is still showing the old artwork. I’ve obviously tried going to Settings > Appearance > “Refresh Album Artwork.” Any ideas?

Hi there! I’ve taken a look at both of these feeds from our end and was able to get the artwork updated. You should see the new artwork on your end now, although you may have to use the “Refresh All Podcast Artwork” option within Profile > Settings > Appearance for it to show on your device. :)

Can we do anything differently with our feeds to make this happen automatically? Or would it require us to ask on here to fix it each time?

@cvcspodcasts our system caches the artwork, so you actually will not need to worry since the cache will get cleared in less than a week.

Piggybacking on this:
While most publicly-published podcasts who change their artwork update in Pocket Casts within a week or two, the app (or the system behind it) seems very slow to update the artwork for private RSS feeds added to the app.
For example, the NPR Plus version of The Indicator still has its old artwork and it has been more than a month since they changed it.
And one of the podcast feeds that’s part of The Binge, and is updated with new mini-series (with new artwork) every few months is still showing artwork introduced in January, despite having updates (with new default artwork for the feed) on March 1 and May 1.
I’ve tried refreshing artwork, both for the specific feed and app-wide via settings, but the older artwork persists.

Piggybacking on this as well (iOS 7.62):
I’ve noticed two instances where one podcaster publishes multiple shows that the show art for one show gets carried over to the other, which is incorrect (I can provide more details if desired). Is this related to the temporary removal of the RSS chapters/artwork feature? Is there a timeline for when that will be resolved?

@fountain4sl1v you are right that we’ve had to temporarily disable episode artwork that’s specified in the RSS feed, as it was causing the app to be unstable for some users. We don’t have a timeline yet for when episode artwork specified in feeds will be released again. However, we are working very hard to bring the feature back while ensuring that the app is stable for all users.

I’m also having issues with the artwork for my podcast not updating.
Everything else has been updated, just not the art.
Not sure what you might need from me.

Hey y’all, I’m having a weird issue. I changed the cover art for one of my podcasts, IDP Drafts, on July 8th. It shows as updated everywhere including Pocket Casts. But for whatever reason, it will not update in my app and it’s driving me crazy. I’ve tried the “refresh all podcast artwork” option many times with no luck.
I’m using version 7.67 (9249) on a Google Pixel 6. Appreciate any help you all can lend!

@joshraymer1003 Have you tried restarting your device to clear any on-device cache? Could you provide us with a screenshot of what you see on your device?

Just restarted and it’s still the same. Here is a screenshot of the show in my app. It’s the old artwork but everything else is updated.

@staff-dexter I checked on my wife’s phone (same model as mine) just now. Downloaded the app, no account, looked up the show, and it was showing the old artwork as well.
