App has become unresponsive within the past couple days

I’m on version 7.46 Android / Pixel 6. About two days ago the app just stopped being able to download and stream episodes. Downloaded podcasts also will not play. Force closing and clearing cache doesn’t alleviate the problem and will cause the app to just display a blank page when trying to load up the list of subscribed podcasts or episodes in filtered categories.

Hi, @ecas123! We’re aware of these issues, and the developers already have some fixes currently in review with Google. Please keep an eye on the Play Store and install the update as soon as it’s available for your device:

I’ve since gotten an update on the Play Store and am now on version 7.46.2 (9140). For a few days afterwards the app worked as expected but the issue is back and now there are additional problems. Specifically the app will now stop responding sporadically throughout the day while in use. The new problem is if the app stops responding while I’m playing a podcast, I cannot stop playback from the app (or the desktop widget and the mini-player in the notification drawer). I have to force close the app.

Thank you for your patience and understanding while we worked through this issue with the Android app. We’ve released an update to address these issues. If you haven’t done so already, please update the app to version 7.47 in the Play Store.
