Archived Episodes Are Not Showing Up in Filters

  We recently had the following message sent to us by a user:

  Why can’t archived podcast be shown in the filter if they are archived? That’s a huge issue.

  Filters in the app only work with subscribed podcasts and unarchived episodes. This is because archiving in Pocket Casts is primarily a way to hide episodes from podcast pages and filters as described here:

  This makes no sense and renders PC less usable. Occasionally I mistakenly archive an episode. Unless I notice which podcast it’s from — and often I don’t — it’sost forever because archived podcasts disappear as if the never existed. Please consider cresting a filter for archived podcasts. This can’t be that difficult. Whoever has a principled objection that “archiving is primarily a way to hide podcasts” needs to get over it. Users have real reasons for wanting to access their archives.

  @mitch713 Thank you for your feedback on this. I’ve gone ahead and shared this with our developers as a feature request. I can’t offer an estimated timeframe or confirm that this will be implemented, but hopefully they will consider this soon.
