Artwork episodes update problem

Hello, I have a Galaxy S24+, I enabled the Artwork Episodes option for all podcasts, and unfortunately the artwork only loads after I physically click on the episode, sometimes the artwork doesn’t load at all, even after I refreshed all the artworks, deleted and re-downloaded the app, and it still happens. Is there any possible solution please? Thank you very much

Thanks for trying Pocket Casts! I understand that you’re able to play episodes, but the artwork for the episode does not load consistently. I wasn’t able to replicate this on my Android device, so I would like to get more details from you so we can troubleshoot this issue further.
With your reply, could you share the following:- Type of Device, and iOS/Android version:
- Pocket Casts app Version:
- Link to a podcast that has episode artwork:
- A screenshot of how the artwork looks:
Finally, please check your app settings at Profile > Settings > Appearance. Make sure that “Use episode artwork” is toggled on.
You can also test using the web player at https://play.pocketcasts.com/ to see if the episode artwork loads there. That can help rule out issues with a specific podcast or device.
Once we have more information we can take a look. Let us know if you have any other questions about this. -
@yonigrady The artwork not always loading sounds like a glitch, but it not appearing until you actually play the episode is the expected behavior (I think they might have an internal feature request to change that, so you could request your vote be added to that).

Hi, let me clarify, sorry.
The artwork does load fully, but only after I click and enter the episode, while I’m rolling the list of new episodes for example, the artwork image is not preloaded in the small image next to the title.
The main cover image of the podcast appears, not the episode’s.
I deleted other podcast apps and was only left with Pocket Cast, so I don’t have a screenshot for comparison unfortunately.

If there is a way to send a video file, I can take a video screenshot of my device, and I can show how it behaves in real time.
Is there a private, non-public way to send this?

@yonigrady That is (unfortunately) not actually a bug. As I said, Pocket Casts only shows episode artwork in the Now Playing screen when the episode is playing. In the Up Next and Filters, showing the show artwork instead of the episode artwork is the correct behavior. I too would prefer if it showed episode art in those views, but what you are experiencing is currently how Pocket Casts works.
You can, however, encourage the staff to change it by commenting “+1” on these feature requests:

I also joined as a beta tester to see if it works, unfortunately it doesn’t.
