Artwork Not Refreshing on IOS App

  So I’ve been trying to refresh the artwork on the Pocket Casts app for the IOS and no matter the method I would use, the artwork will not show up. But allow me to go further, it shows up when I open the app but does not show in the lock screen. Is there anything else I can do? I’ve done the “refresh artwork” many times and nothing happens, nothing changes.

  Are you able to share with us a screenshot of what you’re seeing? Does restarting your device help?

  Also, is this podcast a public one or private one? If it is a public podcast, please share with us the share link to it so we can test how it works.

  The RSS feed is private, so I’m not sure if that makes a difference in this situation.

  It won’t make any difference

  I took a closer look into this podcast and can see the following is happening:

  • The lockscreen is showing the podcast artwork
  • The app (when opened) shows the chapter/episode artwork

  The behaviour you’re seeing is normal since we don’t currently show the episode artwork on the lockscreen. I’ve made a feature request for this functionality to be added in the future, and if more users request this, it will definitely be considered!

  I’ll go ahead and mark this as resolved, but feel free to create a new thread if anything else comes up.

  I am having the same problem. The new artwork for my podcast is displaying fine on other podcast apps, but Pocket Casts still has my old artwork. How to fix this?

  I followed the steps in the guide. Nothing happened.

  Hi @lorijference!

  It looks like the podcast artwork was cached – this automatically clears but I have gone ahead and purged it to ensure the new artwork is used.

  You’re likely going to still see the old artwork in our Mobile apps, since it will be cached there too. You can clear that by going to Profile > Settings > Appearance > then click Refresh All Podcast Artwork.

  The same issue is still occurring so this has not been resolved. The private podcast I am subscribed to has changed the artwork for the their profile picture and the artwork for each episode does not show up on the lock screen

  While per-episode artwork showing up on the lock screen isn’t supported in the iOS app yet, we’ll want to check whether the podcast/show artwork we have is outdated. So, please keep an eye out for my email!
