Assistance with Watching Video Podcasts on Pocket Casts

I am reaching out to inquire about the functionality of watching podcasts in video format within the Pocket Casts app.
While your help website mentions the capability to enjoy podcasts in both audio and video formats, I have not been able to find specific instructions on how to switch to or access the video version of podcasts.
Could you please provide me with a step-by-step guide on how to view video podcasts within the app?
Additionally, are there any specific requirements or settings that I need to adjust to enable video playback?

To watch video podcasts in our app, you must subscribe to podcasts that offer a Video version. This will be separate from the regular audio podcasts and would be a separate podcast listing with only videos available.
For example, CNET has a couple of video podcasts available which can be accessed via our app. You can view an example here: https://pca.st/z902k8jc
If you are looking for a specific podcast but cannot find the video podcast on our end, you can reach out to the authors of the podcast to get the RSS Feed with the video podcasts and then submit it to our system: https://pocketcasts.com/submit/

@staff-joey8 Appreciate your reply with some techincal explanation. However, obtaining that feed via an email to author seems arduous. Is there a simpler way? For example, once I find the video podcast on Spotify, can I obtain the video RSS feed from there for submission into pocket casts for your link above?

@michellemunn6f9b2b65e3, there isn’t a way to get the RSS feed for a show from Spotify, that I’m aware of. And there are some instances where video episodes are published directly to Spotify in a way that isn’t compatible with other podcasting apps.
If you’re having trouble finding a podcast in Pocket Casts and are having trouble finding the show’s RSS feed with a general web search — on Google, for example — I would suggest seeing if the show is listed in PodcastIndex.org, which is an open directory for podcasts.
When viewing a podcast in the Podcast Index, there is a “Copy RSS” button under the show’s title, which you can then paste into Pocket Cast’s search bar to add the show there.
If you’re having trouble finding a specific video podcast, though, please let us know! We may be able to find the RSS feed from our end.
