Audio Distortion in CarPlay with iOS 26

I’ve noticed an issue with Pocket Cast and CarPlay since the upgrade to iOS 26.. the podcast audio has become much louder compared to other apps and there’s noticeable audio distortion, too. It’s like the gain has been turned up in Pocket cast. Apple Music, BBC sounds and others continue to work fine in CarPlay, so I know it’s not a general issue with my system. I reinstalled the app and restarted my phone as a precaution. Outside of CarPlay, the pocket cast app on my phone works and sounds just fine.

I could not replicate this issue with my car on the latest iOS 26.0.1. Are you on 26.0.1 as well?
We’ve got some similar reports from other users about this, however the issue is widespread with other apps as well.
Can we know what make and model is your car?
