Auto archive for podcast in progress
-
I’m wondering if there is a way to auto archive some podcasts that are regarded as in progress. Many podcasts have last one or two minutes of advertisement, and I often stop there. So even if I finish those podcast, there still regarded as in progress by the program. And there are some podcasts that I listen a while ago and have no intention to finish. So, I will suggest to have an additional option of allowing people to auto archive those in progress podcasts after a certain period, for example, one week.

Hi, @alancai7410! For the podcasts you mention, you may want to set “skip last” settings so the ads at the end are always skipped automatically, and then episodes are marked as played. To do that:
- Head to the podcast’s page in the app
- Tap Settings (gear icon)
- Tap “Skip last”
- Set the number of seconds you would like to skip
Can you see if that works for your particular needs?

Hi:
@staff-cara
The solution you provided does not solve my problem. Essentially, I want the app to be able to automatically delete inactive episodes. I have one episode from July 9th, I listened half of the episode but have no intention to finish it. In the auto archive settings, it has an option to remove inactive episodes after one week. It appears that it does not work in this case. So I’m wondering what is your definition of inactive episodes. Do you mean any episode that I have not listened at all?
I’m having a number of episodes that I listen part of them, but do not want to finish. Is there a way to get them automatically removed?Thanks
