Auto download episodes of specified podcasts when they are added to Up Next

The current auto download feature can auto download all episodes added to Up Next, new episodes of chosen podcasts, and all episodes within selected filters. However, most podcasts I subscribed to can stream smoothly, with only a few requiring pre-downloads. So, it would be great if only the episodes from these few podcasts were downloaded when they were added to Up Next. Many thanks for considering my request.

In your case, we recommend configuring auto download from individual Podcast Settings. To do that:
- Tap Podcasts
- Select a podcast
- Select Podcast settings
- Toggle Auto Download

Hi @staff-bluejay, thanks for your suggestion. I have read the support document you provided, but perhaps my issue was not clearly stated. My request is for an option to “auto download episodes of specified podcasts when they are added to Up Next“, which I cannot find in the App. I’m aware that I can auto download newly released episodes from selected podcasts, but why should I auto download them if I’m not interested in them and won’t add them to the Up Next? IMO, only the episodes added to Up Next matters, and only some of them, usually from a few podcasts I can tell, need to be downloaded. So it would be nice if there was an option to automatically download episodes that are added to Up Next and are from specified podcasts. Hope I made it clear this time. If there is a way to do what I need, please let me know. Thanks again for your time.
