Auto resume after garmin notification

Podcasts used to pause and resume while my garmin connect app was giving me a lap update. Since the last update it has stopped auto-resuming and I have to manually do it.
As a workaround, I’ve switched to ducking tge volume which keeps the podcast running but I’m missing bits of it.

Can you please confirm with us if you are using Android or iOS?
Also, when you are listening to audio from a different app, does it work properly when the lap updates come through?

i also have this problem. I can confirm that other apps such as Spotify it Audible resumes after the Garmin notification. I started having this issue about a month ago
