Autoplay not working when Skip Last
-
I tried to figure out why Autoplay was not working for me (ensured there was an empty queue), and found out that any value in Skip Last will block Autoplay from functioning.
This is especially frustrating for podcasts with short 2-minute episodes that have 20-30s of repetitive messaging at the end.
Hope this can be fixed!

Thanks for your report!
Would you mind confirming on which platform or device you’re experiencing this issue? Is it on Pocket Casts mobile apps (Android or iOS) or on the Web Player? Thank you.

I’m also having issues with autoplay not working. How does one check if the app has a “value in Skip Last”? I’m not sure what that means.
-
I see settings for “skip forward time” and “skip back time” but nothing for “skip last”. Also, the app doesn’t allow setting either of these to non- zero.

I found “skip first” and “skip last” as a per podcast option.
I’ve never enabled “skip last”, so my autoplay issues are due to something else. My issue is tracked here…

Thanks for checking the setting @altacannonportillo! We’ve just replied to your thread here.
Since it sounds like this might be a different issue, let’s continue our discussion on that thread. Thank you!

I have tested on Android and iOS. It doesn’t seem to work on iOS so I have raised a GitHub issue. https://github.com/Automattic/pocket-casts-ios/issues/2019
