BBC podcast problems

  I have an intermittent problem with podcasts from the BBC not playing/loading/downloading. I don’t think this is a problem with PocketCast app itself as I have the same issue trying to do it with other apps.

  Any tips what I can do when this happens?

  Last time it didn’t work for a day or two, and then started working again!

  I’ve tried it on different Wifi networks.

  Other podcasts (not BBC) seem to be working.

  Ok so it works on 4G, but doesn’t like starting on WiFi….?!?!??

  We appreciate that you clarified that this issue does not seem to be specific to Pocket Casts.

  In a case like this, it sounds like the issue might be due to your ISP (linked to your WiFi network) being blocked by the BBC servers, which is why it isn’t working when you are using WiFi.
  Or, it could be that your WiFi network has a firewall or adblocker which is blocking access to the BBC servers. To test this, you can follow the steps shown here: https://support.pocketcasts.com/article/how-to-check-my-network-connection/
  
  If you confirm that you do not have a Firewall or AdBlocker on your network, it would be best to reach out to your ISP and get clarification about this.

  Thanks for your reply. I got my ISP to reset my WiFi and DNS, and that seems to have sorted the problem. Really appreciate the advice.

  PocketCasts is a much better app than any of the alternatives so very pleased this is sorted.
