Bluetooth audio to earbuds stopped working
-
I use Bluetooth earbuds, which are now not working with PocketCasts. It happened suddenly; earlier they were working, and then they stopped. I tried switching to another earbud, and same effect: when I press play in PocketCasts, either in the app or from the widget, it changes to the pause icon (as it does when playing), then after 5 seconds, it returns to the “play” icon (triangle). No sound is heard at any time.
My earbuds are working normally with other apps (like YouTube).
I’m running PocketCasts 7.59 on a Pixel 6 Pro running Android 14 (last security update 5 March).
I’ve tried rebooting three times now, with no change in the behaviour. I don’t want to re-install, as I’ll lose all my downloaded podcasts (sadly, too many in my queue!).
Any ideas?

So I uninstalled and re-installed, which appears to have solved the problem.
As to my downloaded episodes, I don’t use starring typically, so I starred everything that I’d downloaded before uninstalling. After re-installing, I then downloaded everything I’d starred. Easy. I lose my queue, but that’s okay!
