Bug: If an episode fails to download, it is unstreamable and undownloadable fore
-
On Android 14, Galaxy A52, if user attempts to download an episode for offline playback and the download fails from something such as poor connection, the episode becomes permanently unplayable. It keeps its status of “download failed” no matter what, and trying to stream or download the episode always fails. Clearing the cache, deleting the app data, and even uninstalling the app has no effect. I worry that it is tied to account.
I believe this is an issue with the app, not the podcast, as other podcast players continue to play the episode in question just fine. In addition the episode was playing perfectly fine before I tried and failed to download it.
This is the second time this has happened to me on this app. It hasn’t happened on any other. I’m unfortunately forced to swap back to another app until this issue is fixed here.

When this has happened for you, does the episode appear to be downloaded, but playback fails? Is there an error message that appears at all? Have you tried deleting that specific episode (by removing its download or archiving the episode) to see if you’re able to try downloading it again afterward?
Is this something that you’re able to recreate the steps for at all or does it seem to happen randomly?
Could you let us know what podcasts/episodes this has happened for so we can test a bit on our end?
