Bug? Playback no longer resumes after timer alert on my Apple Watch

  A few weeks ago, auto-resume after alerts stopped working properly for me. If I set a timer on my watch, playback never resumes when I stop the timer alert.

  This is very frustrating as I have a series of stretches I need to do a few times a day and using my watch’s timer is best (it’s silent).

  I’ve been listening to some episodes using Apple Podcasts to avoid the problem. 🙁

  I think this started with the update that added folders for Plus subscribers.

  I’m currently running:
  – Pocket Casts 7.53.1
  – iOS 17.2.1 / iPhone 13 Pro (was happening with 17.1, too)
  – watchOS 8.8.1 / Series 3 watch
  – AirPods 3, firmware 6A317
