Buttons on new widget are too small

The buttons on the new widget are way too small – while a lot of empty space is wasted.

  • We appreciate your feedback on our new Android Widgets. We’ve noted your comments and are adding it to the customer feedback we’re receiving.

The new widget is awful. You can reduce it to 3×1, but the skip forward button is cut off. When at the standard 4×1, the touch targets for skip forward/back and play/pause are now tiny. It’s also just not as pleasant-looking as the previous widget. Please revert it back and try again if you’re up for it.

  • @jwildman16! I understand you’re having issues with the new widget design. We have reverted it back to the previous design in our beta.

Speaking to the new update on these widgets, a couple things:
    – Much better. Appreciate all the feedback that was taken on-board and worked into the new designs.

2 things I would still change:
    – The dynamic colour matching on the widgets is still wrong. Compare the Pocket Casts widgets to the google calendar, YouTube and weather widgets and it should be clear. The PC widgets are pulling a dark colour tone that is meant to be for inside details, not the base/outside layer. Hope this makes sense.
    – The large widget still doesn’t scale down to 5:2, and when you scale it up to 5:4 or 5:5, it uses space poorly.

  • Thanks for the feedback, @mattwoodrow95! I’ve made sure to share that with our developers.
