Can I use my car’s steering wheel controls to control Pocket Casts

We received this question and I wanted to share it here in case others wondered the same thing:
I use PocketCasts all the time. I always download episodes rather than stream them.
I have a Dodge Grand Caravan with steering wheel controls. Can I use them to control PocketCasts?
If your car has controls for play, pause, and skip pressing them while streaming should work to control playback for your episodes while listening to Pocket Casts.

My car controls used to work [never the skip episode or ‘advanced ones’] but no longer do so.

@musicatpennalps Whether the car controls would work with Pocket Casts would depend on what command they are sending to your device. We could investigate this a bit, but we’d need app logs to dig deeper. The next time you try using those controls and they don’t work, could you send app logs along to us?
