Cannot play video podcasts.

  I’ve been having issues with playing video format podcasts on my Pixel Pro 8. App version 7.84.2.

  I have previously been able to watch/listen to them but now I get errors as in the screenshots attached.

  i have:

  • forced stop and cleared the cache of the app
  • uninstalled and reinstalled the app
  • tried downloading the podcast (download fails as per screenshots)
  • used different networks to try to play the episode and I get the same error.
  • i do not have an ad block installed on my phone (that I’m aware of)
  • looked for similar issues in the forums.

  @alexandraboliverbrown – can you confirm if those podcasts are being hosted by Listenbox? If so, I believe their services don’t work anymore, and the site seems to be down too: https://listenbox.app/

  You’ll want to check with the authors of those podcasts for the official video feed

  They are! So if there were alternative feeds it would work?

  Since Listenbox appears to no longer be running, this is likely an issue specific to feeds hosted through Listenbox. Video podcasts that are hosted elsewhere would be unaffected.

  If you’re able to find an official video feed for this podcast — you may need to contact the creator to see if one is available — it should work to playback the video without error.
