Can’t sync podcasts between IPad and iPhone

I’m tight on storage so I deleted the Pocketcasts app to perform an iOS upgrade on both my iPad and iPhone. Before doing that I exported my podcasts to a file. I can import it on both devices, it seems to perform the task without error but nothing shows up. Now both of my devices show nothing. The web player shows all of my podcasts which is good but I can’t them to sync locally. I have an active subscription so that’s not an issue. Any help is appreciated
