Changing Email

  I’m not sure how to change my email, I saw the article saying that you just click on profile and change email, but I don’t see the option on my app. I used my Apple ID to create the account and didn’t share my email, but I’d like to change the relay email to my primary email

  Hi, @warrennovascone! I believe the guide you’re referring to would be one of these:

  • Android: Editing your email address
  • iOS: Editing your email address

  We definitely need to get those updated since we’ve introduced new sign-in methods. So, thank you for bringing this to our attention.

  To change the private relay email on your Pocket Casts account, please follow these steps:

  1. Enter your private relay address into the “Forgot password?” form here: https://play.pocketcasts.com/user/forgotten_password
  2. You’ll receive an email to set a password for your account
  3. After you’ve set a password, log out of the app
  4. Log back in using the “Login” button and not “Continue with Apple”
  5. Sign in with your private relay address and password
  6. Change the account email address from Profile > Account > Change email address

  Please give that a go, and let us know if that works for you!

  After you’ve followed the above steps successfully, you’ll want to keep logging in to Pocket Casts with the “Login” button instead of “Continue with Apple.” This way, we can prevent a new sync account from being created using your private relay email.
