Create a filter based on a folder?
-
I’d like to look at a folder of podcasts by all the episodes available… basically like a filter… but it doesn’t seem like I can easily create a filter based on podcasts in a certain a folder… if I’m not missing something, would this be a helpful feature request?
Thanks.

Hi @p6bj8pbbch, configuring a filter to display episodes based on the folder they’re in isn’t something we currently support. But I’ve gone ahead and forwarded this along to our developers as a feature request.
I can’t offer an estimated timeframe or confirmation that it will be implemented, but our developers regularly review existing feature requests when considering future development.

OP here, thanks for passing it along – seems like it would be a good add, even if it was just an “episode view” of the pods in a folder or something.

I agree. What’s the point of a folder hierarchy if I cannot view available episodes within a folder? I like the organization of podcast shows. It seems like a simple step to display available episodes within the shows of the folder.

I was hoping for something similar. Ideally, I’d have a list of all episodes available within that folder of subscriptions and be able to sort and filter as I do within a single subscription.
Add my vote for this one, please.

I’d also be very interested in this feature! It would help keep my Filters up to date as my podcasts change.

Amy update on this. There are multiple threads requesting this and it makes so much sense if a user has spent the time to organise their podcasts, to not allow this organisation to be used in smart filters is crazy!
it is so time consuming to select the relevant podcasts in a smart filter, especially since they have already been grouped in folders.

@happygun we don’t have any updates on this at this time, unfortunately, but I can assure you that improvements to the Smart Playlist rules is something that’s on our development team’s radar.
@speedilyzealous7e93fa2a17 thank you for sharing your thoughts, I’ve added your comment to the feature request!
