cross-device syncronization immediately archives played episodes

I have 2 android devices(tablet and phone), and synchronizing the devices causes played episodes to be immediately archived.
Workflow:
Playing episode on my phone causes the same episode on my tablet to be archived, although it doesn’t look like it’s archived on my phone. Clearing data on my tablet and re-logging in still has it marked as archived. -
Hi! @sharpestmarble Can you please check if the tablet has any auto-archive settings set under Profile > Settings (gear icon) > Auto archive? User settings like Auto Archive don’t sync across devices.

looks like that was it. I set auto-archive on my tablet to the same as on my phone, played some more episodes, and they didn’t get archived on the tablet.
