Devices consistently synching in reverse

    I have an Apple Watch 7 and an IPhone 14 Pro and I constantly switch back and forth between them so I constantly need to synch them up. Whenever they don’t synch automatically, I will refresh the watch to synch them. However, instead of synching to the device that is the furtherest along in the podcast, both devices synch to the device that is behind the device that is furthest along – so I have to forward the podcast to try and get back to where it should be. It used to work fine, but in the last few months this has been a consistent problem. I can see that I am doing anything wrong.
