Disappointed with New iOS Widgets

The new widgets on iOS are terribly ugly and a step backward from the previous version.
Previously, the play/pause button was in the cover art. Now it a huge button that makes way less room for the title. The two color options are just plain white or this weird red-orange that just looks terrible where previously the color changed based on the cover art.
Overall, a pretty poor UI update. I wish they would roll back these widgets, or add the older ones as options.
