Double app icon

since the change to the pride icon (awesome btw), I have 2 pocket cast app icons on my device and I would like for only 1 to be present.

Hi, @morningamnesia! I wonder if you might have an icon other than the Pride icon selected in Profile > Settings (gear icon) > Appearance. Can you please check that?
If yes, that would most likely result in having two icons in your app drawer. It’s a limitation of the Android OS when adding custom icons. You can, however, have only one icon show up on your home screen.

I am also experiencing this bug. I have the rainbow and classic icon in the app drawer. Support whatever politics you want, but anytime an app changes an icon it introduces confusion, and multiple is extra frustration. Introducing a new icon is one thing, but forcing an optional change is silly.
Reading the above response, are we stuck with this double icon bug?

For now, that is how Android handles custom icons. It’s not something we can personally change on our end. It would have to be changed by the way Android handles those custom icons.

Hey there staff-reid,
It is not true that Android handles custom app icons in this way. The app Todoist has custom icons that do not duplicate the app icon.
