Download Failed “Unable to save episode, have you run out of space?”

Dear Pocket Casts community and team,
Unfortunately, inaugurating 2025 has been something of a damp squib because today (1st Jan 2025), this error occurred in my podcast feeds:
Download Failed “Unable to save episode, have you run out of space?”
This is affecting two podcasts – ‘The Rest Is History’ and ‘The Rest Is Politics’. They are both Goalhanger Podcasts.
I’ve contacted the Goalhanger team in case it’s something on their end. But is this something awry with Pocket Casts?
Please advise accordingly.

Update: I tried Overcast and the episodes that failed to download on Pocket Casts giving the above error message download fine on Overcast. I haven’t tried other apps, but I hope this helps narrow down the issue. Also, interestingly, I note that episode 357 of The Rest Is Politics has this issue, but episode 358 downloads absolutely fine. Episode 358 is a QnA episode and they typically distribute on Thursdays, while episode 357 usually come out Wednesdays. ‘Rest Is History Club: Famous Composers’ released on Wed 1st Jan also has this issue.
So, it appears that this issue is affecting podcast content released on Wed 1st Jan (across the Goalhanger family) and affects Pocket Casts, but not Overcast.
Bizarre.

Update 6th Jan: For what it’s worth, I see that new episodes are being shown and downloading fine from the two podcasts mentioned. I haven’t updated my Pocket Casts app version, so I can only presume that changes were made by the podcast distribution team i.e. SupportingCast / Goalhanger productions. I contacted them, too. For now, perhaps, it may be best to lay this issue to rest, divert resources where they’re needed and resurrect it later, if needed. For now, at least, it’s business as usual. It’s early days, but I’ll mark this as resolved. Thanks.

@staff-dexter, I tested on different networks and the problem still persisted. I subscribed to a new podcast and it also downloaded normally. So I tried unsubscribing from the podcast that was having the problem and resubscribing, which solved the problem.

It appears to be a local device caching issue that can be fixed by resubscribing. Thank you for providing the solution!
