Error in Arabic Translation: Incorrect Usage of Meters Instead of Minutes

As an Arabic speaker, I have noticed that there is a mistake in the translation of certain terms. Specifically, there seems to be confusion between the Arabic words for “meters” and “minutes.” This error can cause confusion and misunderstanding for Arabic-speaking users who rely on accurate translations to navigate and use your app.

  • Hi there @nasyaldnya 👋

Thanks for flagging this with us. I can confirm that the translation has been updated on our end.

The change is not likely to reflect immediately but should be included in a future update.

That said, it looks like we only support an Arabic translation on Android devices, but we hope to add support for this on other devices at some point too :)

    Hi,
I noticed a small issue in the Arabic translation — “meters” is used where it should be “minutes.” It’s an easy mistake, but it does change the meaning and could confuse Arabic-speaking users.

As someone who works with Arabic translations, I’ve seen this happen when units aren’t checked carefully. Happy to help if proper review or proofreading is ever needed — I provide Arabic translation services through MarsTranslation and focus a lot on accuracy and context.

  • Hi there, @janylim9! Thanks for your feedback about improving the translation. To help us identify the correct section of the app where the word appears could you share a screenshot? You can contact us at https://support.pocketcasts.com/contact-us
Once we have more details we can share this with the team working on translations.
