Failed downloads can never be restarted

Since last night, if a download fails, and that happens a lot for me for some reason, it can never be restarted. The item just sits there as if you had not asked to download, like a new item that just ignores everything you ask it to do. I tried restarting downloads, restarting the app, and restarting the phone. I also tried archiving the episode and unarchiving it.

- The OS version on your device – you can usually find this from your phone’s Settings
- Your Pocket Casts app version – you can see this from the Pocket Casts app’s Profile > Settings (gear icon) > About
We currently have an issue with managing downloads on the Android app, but our team is already working on a fix.

@markjgsmith The issue is related to this: https://github.com/Automattic/pocket-casts-android/issues/4159 However, there may be other fixes that need to be applied to more completely address the issues with downloads.

Checked the github issue, and it sounds somewhat related, but mostly about archival.
The known issue “Problems Managing Episode Downloads on Android” from the other link sounds a lot more relevant. Is there a way to track that specific ticket?
I think this must be related to Android version because I did upgrade shortly before the issues started. The app has become almost unusable. Its crippling.

@markjgsmith and everyone following this thread, we want to inform that the issue affecting episode downloads in the Pocket Casts Android app has been resolved.
If you were experiencing problems such as being unable to remove played downloads, clear your download list, or retry failed downloads, these have been fixed in version 7.92.1
Please update to the latest version of the app to restore full functionality.
(Note: If you still see archived episodes in your Downloads list, please try restarting your device.).
