Feature Request: Audio Effect: Compressor

  Some podcasts I listen to are very difficult to understand while in a car because the dynamic range is so wide. When I turn up the volume to hear normal talking, the more animated parts of the conversation are way too loud. Having a compressor effect (combined with the volume boost) would greatly help in those situations.

  Same issue here.

  Most podcasts do a good job on their end, but I have just recently subscribed to some new ones that focus on round-table type discussions and some of the hosts’ voices are a lot louder than others. It makes listening to them quite difficult.

  Are there any specific podcasts that come to mind that seem particularly bad? We can try tweaking some of the effect values to improve this.

  I notice this in particular with clapping in live podcasts
