Feature Request: Better folder UX

    The folder feature is missing some crucial elements to make it usable.

    I organise my podcasts in a bunch of folders, e.g.: Audiodrama, Documentary, News, Comdey.
    I subscribe to many podcasts.
    It’s extremely frustrating to navigate to the folders, because they are listed with the unsorted subscriptions.
    Consider this view on Pocketcasts web:

    It’s challenging to say the least to quickly find the “Audiodrama” folder.
    Why not add a dedicated folder view in the sidebar?

    For context, we consider features to add based on the number of requests we receive for them. So, the more users request a feature, the higher the chances it gets built.

    Thanks for considering this.

    The number of votes might be a flawed metric here. The subset of your users who feel the same pain as I do, and those who come here to actively vote on the feature, might be significantly smaller than the actual number of users who would benefit from this feature.

    Just consider that the number of people asking for suggestions for a player with this very feature on Reddit. This should be an important data point: https://www.google.com/search?q=podcast+organize+folders+site%3Areddit.com

    Note that users are generally asking for this feature. Correctly implementing this with a good UX will give Pocket Casts a significant competitive advantage over other players!

    Also, consider that users often don’t even know they would benefit from a feature. Recall that most people dismissed the idea of a touchscreen in user interviews before Apple released a good implementation of this technology.​
