Feature Request : Dynamic (audio) Normalizer & Dynamic Loudness Control like in the Spotify Android app
Ref: Spotify Android app
a) “dynamic normalizer “actively adjust volume by leveling out the difference between quiet and loud parts of the audio
b) “dynamic loudness control for podcasts”
actively maintain optimal podcast volume level for clear and balanced sound experience
1) Dynamic Ad Insertion is going out of control,
through higher volume level than the episode content2)Deafening Higher volume intros of episodes / promos
I reckon, such “dynamic normalizer “ and dynamic loudness control for podcasts” features could fix the problem partially for a start
I have started the subject at the
a)-Reddit PocketCasts
https://www.reddit.com/r/pocketcasts/comments/1fu7fam/dynamic_ad_insertion_problems_higher_volume/
b) as well as 2 other podcast player areas (PodcastRepublic & PodcastAddict of the reddit

@observantprince196a0df962 – I can confirm that it is on the ideas board. As you are aware, if we get more requests here on this thread (or directly via email), it will be added to the ideas board as +1s. We don’t monitor reddit, so requests there don’t get included.

There was a question about the technicality
my initial search came up some info about an existing item for TV set attachment to regulate the live tv broadcast sound:
https://www.walmart.com/ip/ICS-CATVSR-Automatic-TV-Sound-Regulator/33919181
The TVSR maintains a consistent television volume between TV programs and louder commercials. The small unit simply plugs into the jacks on the back of your TV (all plugs are included). Once attached, it maintains a consistent sound level.
SKU: HMCNT460and another item info at:

+1 for this. There are specific podcasts I can’t listen to on headphones due to the substantially louder volume of ads/intros compared to content.
