Feature Request: Folders for the Files Section

Hello, I would love it if the Files section of the app had the ability to create folders within it. This way, I could sort the various files I have into different genres or series. For instance, if I had some Harry Potter audiobooks and some Star Wars audiobooks, it would be nice if I could move those into folders with respective names. Thank you.

This was exactly the feature I had in mind when I went to this forum (I was glad it was 5 year old feature request that was never replied to like I’ve seen in others).
I have one additional feature to add on to this: custom settings for folders. I recently switched from Overcast, which, since the recent update, has had some caching issues so unpublished episodes still appear in feeds. But this wasn’t entirely a bad thing because it gave me an additional 6 years of Radiolab episodes previously hidden by Radiolab’s 100-episode limit to binge because the audio files weren’t deleted. So when I switched to Pocket Casts, which doesn’t have caching issues, I downloaded those episodes and added them as custom files. But because I can’t listen to them on the main feed, I also can’t automatically skip the pre- and postroll ads (which there a ton of). It would be nice to not only group files, but to able to treat said groups as podcasts with possibilities such as adding them to the podcasts page, auto-skipping the pre- and post roll, setting season and episode numbers (possibly getting episode numbers from the track number field in ID3 tags?), and even adding show notes (as well as all of the other per-podcast settings).

+1 for this feature request. The files feature is my main reason for subscribing to Plus, but not being able to organize by topic makes the process somewhat cumbersome.

Feature request: Folders for the Files Section
I’m on a free month trial for Plus. The only thing – one thing only – that would make Pocket Casts perfect is the ability to move files into folders. I’m on the fence re: continueing with my subscription because of this feature – or non-feature as it stands. Can you guys get to work on it?

I’d also really like folders in the files section. If it could read MPEG-4 metadata like from an actual podcast that would be even better.

+1 for this feature. The generous 20GB of storage is quite unwieldly without a way to organize what’s in there. I use the Files feature for class recordings and spend a lot of time renaming files so I can find the next talk in a series. Folders would be immensely helpful.
