Feature Request: Left-Right Swipe Actions
-
Would be great if I could mark an episode as listened by swiping. Or add episode to queue. Or to delete podcast…

Thank you for your suggestion! I’ve gone ahead and sent this along to our developers as a feature request!

+1! I’d love to be able to swipe one direction (left to right) to queue an item, and in the other be able to archive. Having some ability to manage what those swipes do would make the app even more powerful!

Thanks for the feedback. Just so I understand it correctly, would you like to be able to do this from the full-screen player?
One hidden feature is that you long press the skip forward button to “Mark played” or move to “Next episode” in your Up Next.

Is it possible to edit the left-right swipe options so you can short swipe left (or right) to get the option to star an episode? I used to use Apple Podcasts, which has this feature (except it’s called bookmarking not starring), and I used it all the time. It will be a major deterrent to sticking with the app if I have to do multiple clicks to be able to star an episode rather than a quick swipe as I am perusing a show’s list of episodes and want to quickly star some to come back to later.

Thanks for that suggestion, @futuristicallymagneticc3c371534d! I have added your vote to the request too.
In the meantime, you can try some of the built in options. If the episode is playing, you can long-press the skip forward button to mark an episode as played.
If the episode is playing or not playing, long press on the episode to see additional actions. Tap the three-dot menu to view more options. You can rearrange the actions so you see Mark as Played, and Starred first on the list.
You can also find more detailed steps to customize the row action in this guide.
