Feature Request: Please add the ability to turn Clip Sharing feature off.
-
Clip Sharing feature has been added in the latest version 7.72. I don’t like this feature because it takes one extra step to do. Not everyone uses iOS share menu for posting to social networking. I use iOS share feature to save the episode of Podcast to Raindrop.IO. In that case, this feature is nothing but a waste.
Please add the ability to turn off this feature. Otherwise I will be tempted to switch from this app to another.
P.S.
Also, I don’t understand the Japanese translation of this feature. The word “詳細” means “more detailed information”. But this feature doesn’t mean that. It just opens the iOS share menu. So the translation “詳細” is wrong.

Thank you for your feedback on this! I’ve forwarded this along to our development team so they can take it into consideration as we refine the sharing features going forward.

Would you be able to suggest a more fitting translation for this? I’d be happy to forward that along to our team as well.

Hi! Thank you for replying. I think the translate of this feature is “共有”. “共有” is meaning “share”. User tap this feature button, Open iOS Share menu. So I think “共有” is right.
P.S.
I wrote one more topic about Clip Sharing feature. I think it is better than my this topic opinion. If Clip Sharing feature is in setting feature, users would not need to select sharing image at every time to share episode of podcast to SNS. -
Thanks for that, @inventive113c787b56
We’ve added your feedback to our translation system for consideration :)

I have been waiting six months for this request to be fulfilled. Has this request been fulfilled yet?

Hi @inventive113c787b56 – We haven’t made any changes to the clip sharing feature yet, but we are still collecting feedback so we’ll take your suggestion into account when we start to work on that feature again.
Regarding the translation, I’ve asked again for help getting this updated. Thanks again for your feedback!
