Feature Request: Streaming to Sonos without having to leave the app
-
Love the app – clean, concise UI, *especially* compared to alternatives such as Sonos/Spotify app. Being able to stream directly to a Sonos speaker from within the app (like Spotify) rather than having to go via the Sonos app would be great.

Thanks for the kind words about the app and sharing your feature request, @camisole3839! We have an open request for this, so I’ve added a vote for it on your behalf.
In the meantime, another user shared a workaround you might want to consider, in case it might apply to you. From the Pocket Casts app, they cast to the TV attached to their Sonos soundbar. This way, they only use the Pocket Casts app instead of the Sonos app.

Please add another vote from me – using the Sonos app to stream from Pocket Casts is an exercise in frustration!

I also much prefer Pocket Casts to Spotify for my podcast listening. I would really appreciate it if we could stream directly to Sonos via the Pocket casts app. Add my vote too!

Sonos user guide is mentioning that Sonos can be controlled from the Pocket Casts app:
Stream from your favorite services. Control Sonos from a different app like Spotify, Pandora, or Pocket Casts.

However, I can’t find an option to control Sonos from within the Pocket Casts app. Has Sonos made a mistake in their user guide or is direct control from Pocket Casts now available but somehow hidden?

As an addon to this – I also want to be able to stream to a Sonos speaker at the intended playback speed instead of being forced back to 1x!
