Filters in web client

+1, it’s wild this feature doesn’t exist already. I use the desktop app as much as my mobile, but it’s frustrating that the UI/features aren’t consistent. If I’m going to pick out a new episode to listen to I have to open the mobile app, scroll, start the ep, then resume it on the desktop app. Not ideal.
Adding filters to desktop/web would be much appreciated!

@mikerockwell I see there has been talk about this for a few years now. Do you know if it’s actively being worked on and if there’s a rough ETA?
-
@caveatalgebra0c I’ve added your request in.
As for an ETA, we don’t have one at the moment. However it’s one of our more popular request in the system.

I’ve had a paid/Plus account since 2016 and I was ecstatic when you added filters and groups. But it’s been several years, so why isn’t this available on the web??? It can’t be that hard to implement and it’s such a feature.
-
I can’t say for certain why the feature hasn’t been prioritized, but I can say that it is one of the most requested features and our developers are eager to make improvements to the web/desktop player. I’m not able to offer an estimated timeframe, but hopefully custom filters is a feature that our developers will be looking into soon.

I am another paid/plus subscriber who would very much like to see filters in the web app!

@pocketcastaca314d1f7 Thank you! I’ll be sure your comments are added to the feature request!

Hello, one more person weighing in. Plus member here who would love to have this feature.
Thanks for your work on a great app/service!

+1, this is a very important feature to me. Please consider adding it to the web client.

I was excited to see Playlists show up in the web / desktop 🎉, but then deflated when I realized it did not include Filters / Smart Playlists 🫤. +1 me for getting Smart Playlists onto the web.
-
@scottkuhl I’m sorry you were disappointed by the Playlist launchs, particularly with Smart Playlists still not being available on the web app. Currently, Smart Playlists require local storage to work, and that’s not something we’ve implemented in the web app yet. In any case, I made sure to share your comments with the rest of our team.
