Grouping and Sorting Episodes

Is there a way to make the app always group episodes by seasons and sort the episodes by oldest to newest for all podcasts instead of having to change these two options for each podcast individually every time? If this isn’t possible then it really needs to be. It’s so annoying having to keep doing this over and over again for every podcast.

Great question! To adjust the ‘Podcast Episode Grouping’ in Pocket Casts, you can do the following:
1. Open the Pocket Casts app on your device.
2. Tap on the Profile icon at the bottom right corner of the screen.
3. Tap on Settings.
4. Under the “General” section, tap on “Podcast Episode Grouping.”
5. From here, you can set your preferred sorting and grouping options for all podcasts. You can choose to group episodes by season or sort episodes from oldest to newest.I hope that this helps 👍

Hello. Thanks for the reply but this is not solved yet. Grouping episodes I found the option in the settings to change it for all podcasts. But for Sorting episodes from oldest to newest, I have to keep doing it for every podcast individually. Why isn’t there an option to sort episodes in the settings so it can be applied for all podcasts?

Hi @sum1111, global sorting feature is not available in the app at the moment so I went ahead and added a vote to an existing feature request for you!
For context, we consider features to add based on the number of requests we receive for them. So, the more users request a feature, the higher the chances it gets built.

Hopefully it gets added. This is a very basic feature, I don’t think it needs a voting system in order to be implemented.
