Help removing a paid subscription from public listing

I accidently added a private patreon podcast using the search tool. I need to get it removed from pocketcasts public listing. I do not have the ability to modify the feed to get the <itunes:block>Yes<itunes:block> text added.

i just resubmitted it using the subscription page and marked it as private, but don’t believe that is sufficient, correct?

and, like many others in the forum, it is also not refreshing properly.

    my pocketcasts account is <redacted>

  • I’ve redacted your email address and marked it in our internal notes for your privacy.

As for the affected show, I’m emailing you to get more details of the show.

I just came across this and I am a bit confused? Does this mean any private/paid rss feed that we add to Pocketcasts using the search field becomes public by default? this sounds concerning. @staff-dexter can you please clarify – I am curious to know

  • Hi there, @xavie3r! A private/paid RSS feed needs to have specific tags in the content of the feed to ensure it’s treated as a private podcast. If it has the correct tags, it will not become public after submitting to Pocket Casts.
You’ll find more information about how we manages submitted podcasts in this guide, and more on private feeds in this guide.
I hope this helps point you in the right direction. Let us know if you have any other questions or have a specific podcast in mind.
