How do I disable the creepy, intrusive stat tracking?

Apparently this app has been tracking every single thing I listen to and I would like to stop it from doing that.
A thing just popped up with my listening history from the last year and, it’s creepy AF. I do not want this kind of thing tracked. Is there any way to disable this intrusive and annoying stat tracking?

Our end of year Playback feature fetches data from your local database. Only the podcast ratings you have submitted are fetched from our servers.
You can disable any other tracking via Profile > Settings > Privacy > “Collect Information”.

Wait hold on. It’s it’s tracking data in a local database? That’s what I want to disable. Why is it tracking anything?
Your job as an app is to play podcasts. Not to remember how many times I’ve skipped or how many hours I’ve spent listening to podcasts. I don’t want any of that information tracked either.

Okay but it’s still there. How do I get rid of this stupid useless playback “feature”?
We’re sorry that you feel this way about this feature. This is a highly requested feature from our users. If you have any suggestions on how we can improve it without having to remove it, let us know. Also note, the feature gets removed around January each year.

We use this data for the listening stats shown in our app. We understand you do not want to track this data, and have logged a feature request to consider disabling this in the future.
Note: The more requests we get from other users, the more likely we are to change the way this works.
The truth is, users want more tracking for them to track their usage habits, etc – so I highly doubt this will be prioritised anytime soon.
