How long does it take artwork to update on Pocketcasts?

    I’ve looked at some old threads where artwork has not been updating… and I can’t decided if there’s something wrong for me, or if Pocketcasts just takes a while to catch up.

    I updated the artwork on my podcast on Acast three days ago, and the new image is showing up on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, YouTube Music, Amazon Music, iHeart, etc… but not Pocketcasts. (obviously I keep refreshing it, but nothing yet!)

    Any ideas??

    Hi @kamahlsantamaria, if you provide us with the Pocket Casts URL of the show, we can check and update it manually before the auto update kicks in.

    It looks like the artwork has since automatically updated in Pocket Casts — I’m seeing the same artwork in Pocket Casts for this show as what is being displayed on Acast. I’ve gone ahead and cleared the cache for the show to be sure, but you should be able to see the new artwork on your end as well.

    If you’re still seeing the old artwork in the mobile app, you can navigate to Settings > Appearance and tap “Refresh All Podcast Artwork.”

    hi Mike… unfortunately still only seeing the old artwork at my end, even after refreshing! And that’s on the iOS app as well as the web/desktop URL.

    Very strange!

    Okay it’s updated on the web now, but still not the app. Must just be taking its time!

    Hello again,

    Just tested how Pocketcasts was updating by changing the bio in my podcast… it updated after about five minutes, but the artwork is still stuck on the old picture.

    Note this is only on the iOS app… desktop app and web have both changed.

    Have you tried navigating to Profile > Settings > Appearance and tapping “Refresh All Podcast Artwork”? That should force the app to redownload the artwork and show you the latest version.

    Please let us know if you’re still having trouble afterward!

    Tried refreshing all artwork, tried refreshing individual artwork, tried unsubscribing and re subscribing to the podcast, tried deleting the entire app and reinstalling it… still no change!!

    Hi @kamahlsantamaria – I’m not sure why it seems to be getting stuck. It sounds like you may have already tried this, but if you go to the podcast page, you can long-press on the artwork and then tap refresh artwork. Does that help at all?
