How not to add all old episodes after following a new podcast

When I add a new podcast to my feed how and where can I disable all old episodes of that podcast being automatically added to my it (Filters > Unplayed)? I don’t want to get through deleting hundreds of titles each time adding a new one? I only need the latest episode. Thanks.

You can prevent the app from automatically downloading episodes from newly followed podcasts in Profile > Settings > Auto Download by disabling the “On Follow” setting.
However, we don’t have a way to automatically archive all old episodes of newly followed podcasts. But when you follow a new podcast, you can tap on the three dot menu at the top of the podcast’s episode list and tap “Archive All”. That will archive every episode from that podcast.
Then you can manually unarchive, download, or add to Up Next any episodes that you’d like to listen to.
