How to archive large amount of episodes?

I’m moving from Google podcasts. I’ve imported the opml file and I see all of my subscriptions, but the episodes that I’ve already listened to are not archived. There’s one podcast that has over 1500 episodes. I’ve listened to 533 of them, I’d like those to be archived. Selecting each, one by one is very tedious and time consuming. I’d like to be able to select one and have the option to archive everything older. Is that possible?

nobody knows? Does anyone actually use this forum? Does this app have any support?

i guess I need to keep looking for an app that fits my needs.

Hello! You can select a lot of episodes at once by long-holding on an episode to bring up the action bar, then while the action bar is open, long-hold on that episode again. From there you can “Select all above” or “Select all below”.

So for your purposes, find the most recent episode you’d like to archive (and archive all the earlier ones). Long hold twice, select “Select all below” (or above), make sure it’s selected the episodes you want, and then tap the Archive option.

That’s exactly what I was looking for. Thank you!

I would have never thought of long-pressing on something twice. I’m slowly discovering all the shortcuts in this app. There’s a lot, which is great, but they are hard to discover. I have a hard time remembering what some of the icons mean as well. Like on the archive button, that icon doesn’t look like anything to me.

Glad that was helpful for you! I’m trying to remember how I learned the long-press myself; it was either a tutorial or a help document?

As for the archive button, I think it’s a box with a lid and a label, meant to represent an “archive” of paperwork. Like the TJOG box from IKEA! 😅
