iOS: Partially Played Episodes Not Added to Queue

This used to be a functionality in iOS and Android, where if I started an episodes but before that episode was complete, if I started a different episode, the first would be automatically added to the top of the queue. For example, if I listen to one minute of Podcast A, start playing podcast B, finish podcast B, podcast A resumed where Ieft it, automatically. This used to work and had been a handy feature ever since I started using the app, many years ago.

That’s strange… I still have unfinished episodes in my Up Next queue.
When you start an episode, are there any other episodes already in the queue? The reason I ask is because if there is nothing in your Up Next, the new episode will replace what is currently playing. In order for an episode to be automatically added to the queue, there have to be 1 or more items already in your Up Next.
