iPhone Dynamic Island: Show episode time remaining

  The newer model iPhones have a dynamic island at the top that shows “current activity”. Pocket Casts uses this to display the album art and a simple sound wave.

  It would be great if Pocket Casts could show the time remaining on the current episode on the right side of the island, like the Timer app does.

  I’ve forwarded this along to our development team as a feature request. I can’t confirm that it will be implemented or offer an estimated timeframe, but hopefully they will consider it soon!

  That’s actually a really smart idea. The Dynamic Island feels a bit underused right now, and showing the remaining time — like the Timer app does — would make it much more practical. It’d be great to glance at it and instantly see how much of an episode is left. Pocket Casts already looks nice with the album art there, but adding that little detail would take it up a notch. Hopefully, the devs consider this in a future update.
