Issues downloading new episodes of certain podcasts

FoVr the past few months I’ve been having issues downloading episodes from various podcasts via the iPhone Pocket Casts app. Some examples of the podcasts affected:
Overthink
Street Life
Right Eye Dominant
Vegan Hacks
Hope for the Animals
In all cases the error is the same. Download Failed, error code forbidden. Contact the podcast author. -
Do you use any VPN, ad blocking software, or network-level ad blocking such as custom DNS and/or a Pi-hole? If so, I would recommend disabling those to make sure they aren’t causing the issue.
Also, do you run into this issue regardless of what network you’re connected to? You can test this by disabling Wi-Fi and connecting to the cellular network or connecting to another Wi-Fi network.

I’ve been getting the same error for a podcast that I pay for through Patreon. My Patreon account is in good standing and I’m able to download the podcast to another app but just not Pocket Casts. I’ve tried removing the podcast and resubscribing through the RSS. I’m on my personal wifi and can download other items so it’s not a connectivity issue. Any advice?
