Lifetime membership?

I purchased the Pocket Cast app in Aug 2019 with the understanding that I would have lifetime membership in plus. I am getting bombarded with plus membership offers and somehow got onto a 30 day plus trial then an annual payment for plus membership.
At this time I’m confused what my status is: did my 2019 purchase actually get me lifetime plus membership? If so, will I be refunded for the annual plus payment I was charged? If not, what did I get with my 2019 app purchase for life?

In 2019 we switched from having each app be its own purchase to offering the iOS and Android apps for free. Access to the web and desktop apps was then limited to those with a Pocket Casts Plus subscription.
Since the web app used to be a one-time purchase made from our site and we were moving it to a subscription, we gave a lifetime subscription to those who had previously purchased the web app.
Did you previously purchase the web app? If so, please let us know by navigating to Profile > Help & Feedback > scroll down and tap on “Get in touch” to contact us privately regarding this.
Please note that purchases from Google Play or the Apple App Store would have been for our Mobile app, not our Web Apps.

Thank you for the clarification. I purchased through Google Play, so, it sounds like I did not get the web app, got the mobile app instead. Regrettably, the plus trial pop-ups are too annoying to continue using Pocket Casts, I will most likely migrate to a different podcast player. Thanks for the update.
